Warehouse 521, a gathering place in Nashville, Tennessee for artists to learn, create and be apart of a welcoming community was opened in February 2013. Jeanie Smith felt Nashville needed a place where artists could learn the fundamentals of drawing, painting and sculpture through workshops and weekly classes taught by professional artists. Most classes and workshops are taught using direct observation with live models or still life. In addition to learning new skills, artists working in a supportive environment creates a feeling of camaraderie as they practice and learn more about art together.
Warehouse 521 hosts artist workshops and classes and seeks to have top quality local and visiting instructors teach a variety of drawing, painting and sculpting classes.
Open Studio with two models is held once a week for those wanting to draw or paint people in an interior setting.
2000 sq. feet conveniently located in the center of Nashville in the Berry Hill neighborhood with many local restaurants, boutique shops and recording studios makes Warehouse 521 a unique place for the art community in Nashville.
